Welcome to Off Stage, On Script, a Substack newsletter authored by Masoom Parmar — where performance meets prose, desire meets defiance, and we attempt to survive artistic capitalism with grace, glitter, and the occasional side-eye.

By subscribing, reading, or otherwise engaging with Off Stage, On Script, you agree to the following terms. Don’t worry, I’ll keep it plain, human, and light on the legalese — but still legit.

1. Who’s Behind This?

This newsletter is created and run by Masoom Parmar (that’s me), a real person with too many feelings and not enough grant funding. You can check my work at www.masoomparmar.com and www.alifartsconsultancy.com

2. What You’re Getting

By subscribing, you get:

• Access to free posts (and paid ones, if/when I enable subscriptions)

• Occasional updates, reflections, provocations, and performance-fueled spirals

• The option to support through pledges or paid subscriptions (consensual, not compulsory)

3. What You Can’t Do

• Don’t copy, republish, or monetize my work without permission. That includes essays, titles, images, jokes, and poetic breakdowns.

• Sharing a link with a friend = amazing. Copy-pasting my work into your thesis, pitch deck, or spiritual zine = not okay (unless you cite or ask).

• Don’t be a troll. Comments, replies, and discussions are welcome — but hatred, bigotry, or spam will get you blocked faster than you can say “late-stage capitalism.”

4. Paid Subscriptions (Eventually)

If/when payments are enabled:

• You’ll be clearly notified and won’t be charged without your consent.

• Pledging now means showing love for future content, not paying upfront.

• You can cancel anytime, no dramatic exits required (though I do love a good monologue).

5. Availability & Interruptions

This newsletter may arrive weekly, biweekly, monthly, or “whenever the muse shows up and the burnout lets up.” I make no promises of consistency — only honesty, craft, and care.

6. Platform Stuff

Off Stage, On Script is hosted on Substack, so your use of this site is also governed by Substack’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. They handle the tech. I handle the texts.

7. Changes to These Terms

If I update these terms (for legal or dramatic reasons), I’ll let you know. Nothing shady. Transparency is part of the performance.
